Similar to humans, for most species of penguin the females are significantly smaller.
Adélie penguins live mostly on sea ice in the Antarctica, moving to ice free ground for breeding in September/October. Their distinctive features include brown eyes with white outer circle and pink feet with black soles.
Humboldt penguins are found in the marines on the coasts of Chile and Peru. This species can breed all year round. Distinguishing features include blackish grey heads and flippers.
