Manufacturers of the world’s finest cufflinks Deakin & Francis® are commemorating the 100 year anniversary of WW1 with a collection of cufflinks and luxury accessories. The collection which will be launched at Jewellery & Watch London features sterling silver and 18ct gold cufflinks from classic enamels to a 3D WW1 Bi-Plane.
Deakin & Francis has a personal connection to WW1 as Captain Francis the last in the Francis line to have joint control of the business with the Deakin’ s, died during WW1. A commemorative plaque is displayed in the factory in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, the same factory once managed by Captain Francis.
James Deakin Head Designer said of the collection ‘our history and heritage have made Deakin & Francis what it is today, which is why it was so important for us to commemorate this anniversary. We’ve put together a collection of existing and brand new products which reflect the period and celebrate British culture.’
The WW1 Collection features enamelled Great Britain Cufflinks hand made in Birmingham using processes dating back to the Pharaohs, sterling silver key ring with enamelled vintage steering wheel, 18ct gold Bi-Plane Cufflinks, sterling silver Tie Slide and a brand new design the sterling silver 3D WW1 Bi-Plane.
The Collection will be on display at Jewellery & Watch London 18-19 June at London’s famous Saatchi Gallery, Stand 5G-01.
