Glorious Goodwood, my favourite festival!

The ‘Glorious Goodwood’ festival has been held this week at the ‘World’s most beautiful racecourse’, just outside Chichester and I will be there for the last day tomorrow.

The third Duke of Richmond started the racing here in 1802, interestingly just 16 years after Deakin and Francis was founded.

I do enjoy watching the Sport of the Kings and have been known to place the odd bet on a horse or two so I hope Lady Luck is on my side tomorrow.

Goodwood, like all of these events has a strict dress code, which must be adhered to. As members of the Goodwood Horseracing Club, the chaps and I can usually be found either in the Richmond enclosure or dining in our box.

As for my attire this year I think I’ll stick with the traditional linen suit, tie and Panama hat. My Horse’s Head cuff links will hopefully bring me some luck in the betting too!
