To celebrate 23 April, which is St George’s Day, the national day of England, we have created hand made vitreous enamel cufflinks in a range of funky colours.
Some great blues: From navy and royal blue to denim blue. Hot red, deep pink, warm yellow and orange. Refreshing green and classic white, Vibrant lilac, purple, turquoise, pale silver blue, lime green and of course black.
The Union Jack, properly called the Union Flag, symbolises the administrative union between Scotland, England and Northern Ireland. Wales was excluded as it was a principality, not a kingdom.
The name Jack is said to have two meanings. Firstly, a national flag is called a Jack by those in the navy. Secondly, the historian David Starkey suggests an alternative meaning that it was named for James 1 of England who introduced the flag when he became King.
Whatever the history, whatever your favourite colours, we have funky Jacks for all tastes.
