Green Apples for great cuffs

Between rugby matches over the weekend I’ve been catching up on haute couture.

Perusing Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and ‘How to Spend it’ in the Financial Times.I should add that these were not my magazines (apart from the FT), it’s just that the house has been full of women all weekend.

Everywhere is awash with a sea of colour (and that was just the kitchen on Sunday morning). It’s the big thing for women this season, so they say.

What about us men? Should I dash out and acquire a pale baby blue jacket to wear to the office? Perhaps a vibrant violet would cause a stir?

At heart I’m a rather traditional chap. I think the receptionist would call for a medic if I appeared in apple green or opened a meeting in an orange tie.

Instead I’m going for a selection of colourful cufflinks. Red hot chilli peppers, gorgeous green apples, bright yellow bananas. My cuffs should get them talking in the office.
