On the first day of Christmas

On the first day of Christmas, my true love sent to me a partridge in a pear tree. That’s not entirely true, it may have been a Hand Painted Enamel Pheasant or an Enamel Pheasant Head.

Not two turtle doves, but a white gold onyx turtle to wear on my sleeve
On the second day of Christmas, my true love intended to send to me Two turtle doves but in my case it was more likely to be a white gold onyx turtle with which I was most pleased .
On the third day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Three French hens but mistook the French hens for a Hand Painted Enamel Duck. It quacks, it lays eggs. What’s the difference?
I’m looking forward to the remaining days in the Christmas calendar.
